Texas veterans may pay $0 in state filing fees

If every owner is an honorably discharged veteran with a Texas Veterans Commission verification letter, Texas waives the normal $300 Certificate of Formation fee and other Secretary of State filing fees for the business's first five years, as long as it keeps qualifying.

A new Texas business 100% owned by honorably discharged veterans may also owe no Texas franchise tax for its first five years, as long as it keeps qualifying. This program is now permanent.
